A charming read. Kerridge's love of people and their oddities shines through in his account of living in England in the late 1970s and swimming against the cultural stream as a forty-year old "conformist" working as a bog-cleaner, attending job rehabilitation and investigating the proliferation of cults, including "Elmer Fuddard's" "Electrology."
