A great and realistic story about business, culture, biological & found family, overcoming bigotry and nepotism, learning to trust, and of course love. We also see a modern view of the hard work needed to achieve the American Dream. This book does A LOT but it never feels heavy-handed...it just feels like life.

The storytelling feels effortless and it didn't take much to pull me in, make me feel like I was hanging out with people I've known for years, and love them...all delivered with show more masterful narration.

I laughed and enjoyed these characters and can't wait to read the rest of the series. This is my first title by Adriana Herrera. I'm looking forward to the next. show less
