Great story of Desilu studios - as well as semi biography of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. Arnaz was really the business genius behind the studio which became very successful until his drinking and womanizing destroyed their marriage. He was innovative in filming techniques and good at recognizing good scripts and talent. There is a typo on page 99 where the word "singing" was used in place of the correct word "signing". Highly recommended.

A loving reference book of my pick for co-winner as the best television sitcom ever produced, the Dick Van Dyke Show (the other being "Taxi"). Lavishly illustrated with photographs, well-annotated and chock-full of classic scenes and lines and background, this is a must for any fan of the show. It's always nice to learn that the creators and actors in a show like this had as much fun and mutual admiration as it looks like they had.
