A wonderful book, by an author whose humility shines through throughout. So many books about Zen can be a bit pretentious, this one is very readable. Provides a nice overview. Sings the praises of meditation - something we can all benefit from no matter our religious preference.
Shibayama provides us a pathway into a dense modus on the way to achieving a certain kind of abiding oneness in life. This book can be read and re-read.
This book is an English translation of Shibayama Zenkei Roshis Zenrin Kushu. It contains the original Chinese phrases together with English, and Japanese translations. This book contains a collection of Zen phrases that are the expression of enlightenment itself.
