"750 German Verbs and Their Uses" is perhaps one of the more useful "specialty" books a German learner can have - I prefer it greatly, for example, over the well known "501 German Verbs." Obviously, there are a *lot* of verbs covered here, and each one usually has 2-5 example sentences, showing the verb in action. Perhaps it's simply because I'm a native speaker of English, but I've found German verbs, with the possibility of being coupled with prepositions, the dative case, the accusative show more case, or (very rarely) the genitive case, to be a good deal harder to grasp than the English equivalents. Having this book has made it a bit easier, if not easy as pie. I've taken to taking the example sentences and putting them in a vocabulary program, with the "answer" card showing the verb, what it "takes", and it's potential meanings. show less
