This was a freeby, so I can't demand my money back. But I wish I could get reimbursed for the time I spent wading through it.
It's a dysfunctional family tale set in a small-town Florida where the characters deal with lies, jealousy, secrets, and betrayals. It's over-written and the subplot about a young many who harbors a not-so-secret lust for his sexy young aunt is just barely this side of icky.
Don't bother.

Waiting for April is the story of a small southern town, and town and family life in an odd, slightly dysfunctional and evocative place. There protagonist is Roy, a boy who has had a lifelong crush on his Aunt April.
The overall feel of the book is 'literary South.' The characters are flawed, unusual but still oddly believable, at least through the eyes of the young protagonist. The book is well written, and the story both humorous and at times disturbing.

Congrissional GOP will await results of special prosecutor's Whitewater investigation; have no interest in more hearings.
