I'm on the executive committee of my Friends of the Library, and I borrowed this from our book stash. It's a pretty impressive book. It's loaded with ideas for fundraisers and member drives, and draws from what Friends groups have actually done. It breaks down the whole process, going beyond the concept to the actual implementation and results, including examples of pamphlets, letters, posters, and other paraphernalia made for the cause. It also shows the behind-the-scenes organization of show more who-does-what.
