Artistic interpretation of the 32 crystallographic point groups system. Mathematics helped applied sciences define the nature of crystal. Crystallography uses symmetry to outline the singularity of a diamond, a ruby, a sapphire and most gems often defined in terms of beauty, balance, and harmony. Can art use information based on scientific observation meet the challenge of beauty and relevance?

Visual diary. Progression of a design over an entire year, one image per day. Each image is both a self-standing artwork and a progression from the previous day's image. Complemented with written notes taken during the project, software used and technical info on the image making process.

A 1 year long, 1 image a day - visual marathon, inspired by mathematics and geometry. Twelve mathematical visualization programs, one program a month, one image a day in each program - January 1st - Dec 31st, 2015. 365 illustrations, figures descriptive and formulae. 20-illustration portfolio and original mathematical models from B. Rieman family of minimal surfaces on Minoan culture geometrical background. Riemann’s work on the properties of surfaces in higher dimensional space was based on intuitive reasoning. Cretan, Minoan art is rich in symbols and abstract geometries. Both complement each other unexpectedly, yet often in a mysterious and poetic way.
