An excellent example of great scholarship and nuance on western imperialism. This collection of essays brings about the deep rooted overt and covert manifestations of colonialism, European imposition, the tools of imperialism and oppression, misunderstanding cultural practices, and big gun diplomacy.
A bit lopsided on the on the influence of Islam and Mappila Riots. The last chapter on rewriting history also seems malicious, with comparisons between the expected and the ludicrous.
