I have been anxiously awaiting this book since the cliffhanger in book one and after the novella. This book did not disappoint. I loved every moment of it. The angst is real. A.R. had me clutching my kindle waiting for Sly and Vinnie to find a way back to each other.

Yet, this retelling of Romeo and Juliet is not without the body count and war. Vinnie and Sly have to fight hard for their happy ever after. Yet, I can guarantee you that it is worth every heartache and drop of bl@@d spilled. show more

I fell in love with Sly and Vinnie from the first time they met when they were little children. I could already tell that Sly had fallen first with Vinnie. Yet, it would be years later before he is able to admit it. A big reason is due to their family feud. They really are a Romeo and Juliet love story.

The angsty tension between them was sizzling. I could not get enough and was waiting in anticipation for their first kiss. It did not disappoint.

"I won't kiss you, Vincenza. I won't kiss you show more unless you kiss me first."

How things are going between Sly and Vinnie.
"You're everything I want and need, piccola ladra.", "I love you, little thief. I vow to always love you." and "Because our love isn't just worth fighting for. It's worth starting a war."

I can't get enough of these two and will be waiting on the edge of my seat for book two. I hope these two bring fire and their families down. show less

I love the single dad trope. You know why...his name is Declan. He has the cutest daughter named, Sailor. I am a sucker for adorable kids. You can tell that Sailor is the apple of Declan's eye. He would do anything for his daughter.

While Hailey and Declan did not do anything for quite some time in the story, I could feel the instant chemistry between them. That scene where Hailey reads Declan part of her romance book that is when things between them really started heating up.

I love A.R.'s show more writing. Yet, after reading this book, I am very excited for this new series. A.R. "stole" my heart with this book! Once I started reading, I could not stop. In fact, this book is a one day read as I started and finished it all in one day. This book is one that you don't want to miss. show less

Dylan and Indy are Irish twins. They are very close. That is why when Dylan warned that he does not entertain the idea of Indy and Gareth getting together, this makes things a bit difficult for these two. Gareth and Indy have shared feelings for one another since they were children. The spark has not grown cold as the years have gone by.

I absolutely love the flash back scenes of when Indy and Gareth were younger. They just cemented the strong feelings and love that these two shared for each show more other.

This book is a home run. If you love best friends to lovers, you will absolutely LOVE this book. A.R. has a winner on her hands with this series. So happy to see Golden Boy and Trouble find their HEA. show less
