he served the Portland Avenue Church in Shreveport, La., for nine years. Later he was minister for nine years in Creswell, La. Upon his retirement from full-time pulpit work in the 1950s, Lambert began preaching for the Benton Church and also opened a bookstore in Shreveport. Shortly afterwards he began to publish Bible literature. Besides conducting meetings, engaging in debates and assisting in the establishment of several congregations, Lambert helped establish a Christian Youth Encampment in Louisiana and began a TV program, The Living Way. - Birthplace
