Highly recommended. My family, unbeknownst to me, has been doing a "mini-economy" in our household for over ten years, and it was so refreshing to learn some new tricks, and be encouraged in it's importance. Children today need to learn the hard and important lessons of finance, and where better to do that than in their own homes and families. A must read for parents of children still at home.

Teach a Kid to Save is a clear guide that helps us show kids why saving money matters. It explains how you can run a simple money system (mini economy) at home, using chores, and allowance to teach how money comes in and goes out.

The tips are easy to follow and quite inspiring. I followed some of these guidelines when my kids were little and feel validated that there is science to back what I taught them.

If you homeschool your children, there are special tips that can help you show them how show more to save, give, and plan their money. The questions and lessons for parents and children are useful, and the saving approach doesn’t feel overwhelming or unreachable.

You’re never too old to learn. While this is written for parents to teach their children, parents can learn from this, too.
Simple, fun, easy to follow, and will hold your interest. It’s not cut and dried like other books.
