Methodist minister with five daughters moves into a new town. The oldest daughter, Prudence is trying to mother her younger sisters and bring them up right, but has her hands full because they are kind of wild. Also she's not interested in getting married. Until she is. Just ok.
This is the first in a series of four books that I read while in grade seven at John Calvin School in Burlington in 1962-63. They were books donated from the Family Christian Bookstore by Mr. denBok. I read that series, loved it and never forgot it. For years and years I tried to find the titles and the author, but could not, until AI (Artificial Intelligence) found the books for me.
