"The Art of Woodworking: Routing and Shaping" is a good reference, likely to be of value to most woodworkers, except perhaps for the most experienced. Even as one with some woodworking experience, I'm glad I came across this book. The chapters cover router basics, edge forming, grooving, router joinery, and use of a shaper. As I found with one of the companion books in the Art of Woodworking series, it addresses numerous techniques, which are well-documented with illustrations. Accompanying show more throughout the book, are tips, information on how to build helpful shop jigs, and safety reminders. A bonus, if you will, is that the book is bound with an internal wire binding that allows it to lie open flat at any page, a helpful thing if one is using it in the shop. Even though I have other books on the subject, I'm glad to add this one to my library. show less
