Very interesting, particularly the set-up or historical context of Wittgenstein in relation to his mentors Russel and Frege. Of interest to me was reading the language Frege used which has been taken on by computer programmers. Functions, arguments: “concepts are treated as functions which map arguments to one of the truth values.” (23) also, “Frege and Russell maintained that logic constituted a logically perfect language which reflected the structure of thought and reality.” (37). show more However, I should have read this after I read Tractatus, not before. show less
