The ancestor of the Roger Tory Peterson Field Guides that emerged in the 1930s; while not quite as well organized, this still contains a great deal of valuable information, including information on birds (such as the passenger pigeon or heath hen) that no longer exist. A section on collecting birds, nests and eggs certainly wouldn't be in any modern book!
Good, Inscribed "Fanny H Boltwood, 65 Morris Avenue, Grand Rapids Mich"
