Plenty of amusing stories about the fun, camaraderie, banter, hardships , dangers and fallings-out on tour. Aggers comes across as an amiable and genial host; which can't be said about all the fellow commentators and reporters! But he cites incidents when his honesty and forthrightness fractured relationships with colleagues. However, Aggers does seem muddled when criticising both the use of the third umpire (with TV replays) while at the same time questioning the competence of some of the show more officials standing in the middle! An enjoyable holiday read. show less
A charming, thoughtful and thoroughly enjoyable read. Lovely anecdotes coupled with thoughts and feelings about the wonderful game that is cricket make this a must-read for all fans of Aggers, Johnners, cricket and TMS.
A fun tribute to Brian Johnson, with some good background information about TMS. A good light read for lovers of Test Match Special
Good dose of anectdotes, trivia etc
