Wayne Ryan

This is a personal history written by my friend, Wayne. I knew quite a bit of it because we had been friends since University days but there was also a lot there that I was unaware of. Wayne has done a really good job of integrating text and some lovely old pictures.....though, as he said to me in an accompanying letter, for other than family it is probably as "boring as bat shit". (Actually, as bats have been shown to be a major vector for some of the major viral diseases that plague show more humanity...maybe bat shit is not quite so boring....but it's certainly hard to remove from your car roof!).
Wayne wrote this some years after he lost Judy due to cancer and I know that this had a massive impact on him. More recently he has been suffering himself with some hard-to-diagnose nerve problem with his knee. Though he has been very stoic about these ailments. I found some of his thinking about life, politics and the universe etc., to be more interesting in many ways than the family history section. A bit hard to rate such a personal work but in terms of meaning to me I give it 5 stars. show less
