Horst Hohendorf

When I began reading Faust, I had no idea how amazing and wonderful it would be. It's brilliant, and so clearly deserves its high praise. The Arndt translation reads aloud beautifully, and the poetry is truly beautiful and skillfully written, and not merely a subpar translation. The notes from editor Cyrus Hamlin and well done, and I believe worth tracking down the revised Norton Critical edition. (They are not all of equal value, but this one, I believe, is.)
