More of a coffee table book than a textbook; Netter's Clinical Anatomy might be slightly better--even Marieb's Anatomy & Physiology had enough detailed information. Pictures are excellent of course, but if you don't know what you are looking for or at without a proper framework or context, it can be confusing.
The gold standard for anatomy. Fantastic schematic drawings of just about everything in the body, unmarred by long textual digressions. The flashcards are also good. I haven't tried the online resources that come with this book yet, but I intend to.
In combination with Moore's clinical Anatomy, it's really helpful for medical studies and gives you a clear insight of the anatomical structures in the human body.
Amazing color, amazing drawing! My only complaint is with the index; like a lot of these anatamy books there is little or no cross-indexing which can make things harder to find at times.
