An Approach To Cybernetics (Radius Books) by Gordon Pask

A nice introduction to the systems logic underlying cybernetics research. The first couple of chapters are a little specialized, but the remaining really pay off in linking formal logic and engineering with biological and environmental inputs/output, development, and learning.
