Response: This story is simple but offers a straightforward and understandable application for the lessons of “Going Green”. Children often struggle with the somewhat abstract elements of environmental action but they can benefit show more from the lesson of this story which shows them a small-scale, achievable way to save the Earth themselves. show less
The description makes it sound preachy, but it's really actually quite charming.
Review: This book is a good example of realistic fiction because it deals with real life experiences. The young girl shows how her Grandma makes her a new dress each year, and reuses the fabric each time.
Theme: This story has an implicit theme of recycling. Although it is not clearly stated within the book, it implies that recycling materials you use is a very good choice for the earth.

-ABC Doctor is about what you do when you get hurt sick or have germs on your body. This book uses the Alphabet which makes a story of how you take care of yourself.
-I would use this book as a health lesson because it talks about how you take care of yourself.
-I like this book because you could use it for many different ways. one it teaches you the Alphabet which will help kids memorize it better. They could name different types of foods by using the Alphabet. There would be show more three different groups and the kids can help each other. After, the teacher could compare the different types of foods that the kids came up with by using the Alphabet. show less
