Historical fiction for pre-teens/YA - an adventure story set in the early 1920s about an 11-year-old orphaned English boy who helps Howard Carter discover the tomb of Tutanchamun.
While this book is clearly aimed at younger readers, I found the book was very well written and and the story was fast-paced and entertaining.
I especially enjoyed the author's writing style, which was vivid and descriptive and made it a real pageturner for me. It takes you to the 1920s, actually it almost feels show more like it was written at the time - an instant classic! show less
