Considering the authors responsible for this work, and their involvement in other semi-official publications, this booklet also has the feel of official history. This means that you get lots of detail, but perhaps not a lot of personal color. That said, if you want to know about the operational history of "Skyraider" units in the Korean War, very few points seem to have been missed. The main picture is one of the daily grind of attritional warfare, much like that in Vietnam, with the show more additional point that, like in Vietnam, raw attrition seemed not to make a great deal of difference. At least not without a successful operational component on the ground. The lesson should have been learned was that, given backing from another major power, the US was unlikely to achieve success in these "perimeter" wars. show less
