This story was informative for children in picture book form. It helps also to give little to something that we might talk about in today's world a lot of the time.

Beautiful illustrations illuminate the world of the narwhal and a combination of narration and facts opens readers' eyes to a fascinating cetacean. Frontmatter elucidates The Mystery of the Narhwal's Tusk. I love that scientists have theories about the purpose of the tusk, but don't know for sure. Mystery is good! We have more to learn and understand. Backmatter includes The Future of the Narwhal and Further Information.
