Brian Andreas' books never fail to enchant me. It's almost impossible to explain his books to someone who has never read them - the best I can say is that they're kind of inspirational picture books for adults. The pages are filled with (admittedly) bizarre drawings and what he calls "stories"; but they're never more than a few lines. Little thoughts and snippets that seem to summarize a bigger conversation. They always rejuvenate my hope and delight and wonderment with life in general.

The Publisher Says: Expands on the laughter and lunacy of the first, with over 80 of Brian's stories & drawings, including such favorites as Angels of Mercy & True Things.

My Review: Three years ago, I heard about Brian Andreas somewhere and somewhen. I got a good deal of urging by friends who had read it and thought of me the whole time (or so I'm assured).

I guess I'm weirder than I thought.

Make that "more beguiling," as I'm also referred to for reasons best left unlearned. I hope all y'all will read and review the book. I want to know why the darn thing reminds people of me!½

Favorite quote from the book “You're the strangest person I ever met, she said & I said you too & we decided we'd know each other a long time."

I love this little book. I met Brian at the LA Book Expo back in 2003 and I have been reading, gifting, and rereading this book ever since. The short quotes and poems are all insightful and amusing. I also love his Story People and have his Flying Woman hanging in my kitchen. "For a long time, she flew only when she thought no one else was watching."

I love Brian Andreas' outlook and perspective. His stories, drawings and insights remind me to see beyond the backyard fence. My favorite quote of his: I didn’t listen to her because she was my mother and wouldn’t know anything until I was much older. We have to get our students to celebrate when they also think this way before they are "McMoginized" to obscurity!
