Victor Appleton

Victor Appleton is a pseudonym for the Stratemeyer Syndicate. It was used for the original Tom Swift series, the Don Sturdy series, and Moving Picture Boys, and Motion Picture Chums, and Movie Boys. Victor Appleton II was used for other Tom Swift series (Tom Swift Jr)--please don't combine the two Appletons. Ghostwriters should not be listed as part of the author name (especially in the case of the one I'm correcting here where the wrong ghostwriter is given for the book--but would be better placed in another place which would not lead people to assume that all books by that author name are written by the ghostwriter since there are a number of ghostwriters who worked under this name for the Syndicate)
