I read this book because my children are half Mexican. I wanted them to know more about their heritage and the foods from their ancestral home. In addition, I thought that the recipes were meals that they would enjoy making at home.

As a classroom activity, I would ask my students what nationalities they are from and what some of the ethnic foods they eat are. We could put those meals into our own multicultural cookbook.… (more)

I read this book because my children are always asking me to take them to the Chinese Buffet to eat. I wanted them to know more about where the food they are eating comes from. In addition, I thought that the recipes were meals that they would enjoy eating at home.
