Pandora’s Dreams: After Dinner Conversation Short Story Series (Kindle Edition)
by Peter Beaumont
I am saying right now:
What a great start to the reading year of 2022!
This was my first read of the year. Now I will say that my year in books for 2021 wasn't real great. There were no books that made it into my all-time favorite list. This was unlike 2020 when at least two books succeeded in doing that.
I also am writing myself now so I read less than I expected. But the quality of books was a let down last year.
This was my first book of the year and it gets a five! Awesome.
But I cannot tell you much about it.
I really do not want to spoil anything. All I will say is this:
Are you fascinated by dreams?
Have you always wondnered what they mean?
I am saying no more.
I have always been obsessed with dreams. Sadly, the few books I've read on the subject IN THE PAST are science fiction books where the protagonist is caught in a nightmare, cannot get out etc etc. Not for me, those types of books.
That's not this.
First of this is a SHORT STORY. It has symbolism to Greek Mythology which is only one of my favorite things in the world.
Second it is told from first person perspective. Our narrator -- what shall I call him? A scientist? A sales rep? Perhaps both? No. I choose to call him a human being.
Take the journey into this short tale that asks tough questions of the reader that I still am grappling with. Walk into the fascinating doors of this story and let them encapsulate you.
I do not think you will be sorry. And if you like a mix of dreams, Mythology and Philosophy you ABSOLUTELY will not be sorry. Five stars.
