The sub-title is misleading: the book does not describe exercise programs, nor does it even much link particular exercises with particular illnesses. What Blech does is to summarize a lot of scientific studies on the beneficial effects of exercise on the body. And pretty much every time he mentions more than one type of exercise being studied in relation to a particular illness, it seems to come out that they're all good, and the more movement (to a point, of course) the better. So, it was very hopeful reading, and I'm glad that I'm reading this at my relatively tender age. (btw, it was recommended by Mistress Krista, on her “Books for the Literate Lifter” page).… (more)
