Blofeld's account of World Series Cricket's early days is magnificent; written with the usual Blofeld gusto and elegance. Sadly it was published in the middle of the events described, so it concludes with Blowers' surmises of what might be to come. The final third of the book deviates into descriptions of the Test matches played at the time of WSC, which are interesting if not strictly to the point. Pair with Gideon Haigh's The Cricket War for another, later slant on the WSC controversy.

Fascinating account of the Packer Affair that ripped cricket apart in the late 1970s. Written at the time so a virtual blow-by-blow account of what happened.

Amusing anecdotes from a very intelligent and witty man but as an account of TMS lacks coherence

Graphic and great fun. Blowers on top form and speaking through the pages.
