A review of classical recordings that was obsolete when it came out; the LPs reviewed were long out of print for the guide to be of any value...then. Modern twist: Many of the recordings were re-issued as CDs so one could presumably use the guide again. Trouble is, the poor fidelity of the old LPs was transferred to the CDs.

This is a very accessible introduction to the most important classical composers and their works. Highly recommended for someone who an interest in discovering classical music but overwhelmed by the task of knowing where to start!
