Oh boy this book is fun. It's like walking through a bazaar, or picking your way down the aisles of an ethnic grocery store. Some of the recipes are simple- like roasted chestnuts, just, you know, roast a bunch of chestnuts- and some are really complex but they all look wonderful. I have not tried them yet but I plan to. There are several variations on the meat pie, some sweet things for dessert and loads of excuses to try new spices and fillings and cuisines. Fun!
