William J. Byron, SJ, is a retired university professor business and society at St. Joseph's University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is past president of the University of Scranton the Catholic University of America, and Loyola University of New Orleans. He has authored twenty-one books, edited show more two, and is the recipient of thirty honorary degrees. For sixteen years, Fr. Byron wrote a biweekly general interest column called "Looking Around" for the Catholic News Service. show less
