This is the first book by Cassandra Carr that I've read and I liked it well enough that I would read more by her. My wish would have been that more of the emotional aspect of their relationship was explored. Since both MCs are deep in the closet and both travel extensively with their respective teams, the few times Jason and Patrick get together it's all about the physical aspect of their sorta-kinda relationship. And that really is understandable but I guess I had a bit of trouble then jumping to a serious, life-changing, emotional relationship.… (more)

Enter Danny, successful hockey player searching for a life outside of the arena. Ms. Carr used the contrast between these two characters beautifully. To open their mind and heart to more than what they believed themselves to be and show them what taking a risk could give them. Playing on a Dare is a smartly written romance with an air for the dramatic but a knack for fun.… (more)
