The book was enjoyable, fast pace with a mixed of well developed characters. The story was suspenseful, energetic, good dialogue, a great entwined plot and an unexpected blast of adventure at the end of the story. The author included good police periodical vs. bad cops, a love obsessed sniper vs. love driven detective, a ex-hot headed soldier turning rookie cop vs. a ex-mentally derange female cop as his trainer, and I can’t omit a beautiful egotistic scheming female stripper who is only three feet two inches tall.
When the reader connects all the drama, suspense, crimes to the characters above you can’t stop reading till you get to the end. I feel that a small part of different scenarios were over emphasized but not enough to down-grade the story. The story was based on murder for hire, three million dollars stolen, and then a twist in the story about two professional men being in love with the same woman, two abiding good cops with different personalities placed together, fighting crimes, solving a murder going in two separate directions makes the story intriguing. From the beginning the author also throws into the story… cats galore….cats climbing walls, cats attacking, cats coupled in back seats of a car, cats crawling around your legs, cats everywhere and the sounds of purring….purring…purring… However, only one person sees them, is this person a cat lover?… are they really there?…Some times I felt confused myself, wondering are they real or not….!!
Sometimes when a reader gets invested into a good story they also feel the depths that emotions can have on you. So, like I said this was an interesting book. For a first time author I think he did a good job and he might just make an outstanding author.
