A bunch of books in one so of course some were better than others but very entertaining with some hot scenes, a lot of action, and a lot of fantastical elements. Some slow points but I still enjoyed the dragons and the spunky FMC. Family lies were a bummer and the bad guys made me want to gag but a good series overall

2.5 stars? I think I received this as a free download within the last year? This had a lot going on - setting things up for a series. I liked it alright, but I always deeply regret jumping into a book without realizing it is part of a series that follows the same two main characters. I take responsibility for not known better lol

The story follows Jack, a vampire, and Angela, a wolf shifter (although we spend more time with Jack) neither knows the other is paranormal. They work at a tattoo shop, Dark Ink in Las Vegas. There is a lot of sex in this book - both characters have on-page, detailed sex with other people. Jack staves off his blood cravings with sex and Angela is seeing (and trying to break up with) some rich guy named Marc. The book follows these two main characters although they do not interact with one another much - in fact they aren't the couple. This is an erotic fiction book, not a romance. Which is fine but if you're not aware of that going in you may have your expectations torn to shreds. I think there was potential here that just never got realized?

CWs: violence, blood, SA recounted, on-page sex, dead-naming

4.5 stars! I received this as an ARC audiobook. The narrators were good. My only complaint was that the female narrator said li-beary instead of library a couple times. That just happens to be a personal pet peeve, but it's well done overall.

This is a Beauty and the Beast retelling, where the beast is a mage who can shift into a beast form, and the beauty is a noble woman who was originally a gift to the beast by her father for payment of services, who later becomes the beast's apprentice. Due to the nature of her magic, their training sessions are sexually charged. While there is nudity and cunnilingus in this first book, there is no intercourse, since they're still building a relationship.

I enjoyed this storyline so much! It was a little slow going in the beginning, but by the time the end came, I was eager for the second book! I cannot wait to complete this series!

I audiobooked this whole series and it was done phenomenally! I feel like this last book ended the story well and the characters were all likable and stayed true to who they were. The brother seemed shady for a while and I was waiting to see if that developed into anything. I enjoyed this story from beginning to end!
