Not sure what to say. It's like nothing I've read before, which is a good thing. Yes it's got Time Travel (of a sort). And yes it's got romance. And history. And an awful lot of discussion of fashion. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
It could have used a better editor and/or proofreader, I have to admit. 'Waived' for 'waved' kind of thing, and what is the name of the chauffeur, Cranston or Cranford? Also the beginning, Ray's childhood, didn't need to be developed at such length - especially because the end, when Ray's adventures are settling down, didn't have near the same weight.... That is to say, is this a story about Ray, or about the adventures? If it's both, then I needed more clarity and development at the end.
But those are minor quibbles. This is an interesting book with lots of charm and drama, and I do recommend it to anyone who thinks it looks interesting. I think fans of TT, historical romance, adventure, and even just regular popular fiction would enjoy it.
