Anita Dalal

Again Dalal did a great job of giving background information about the Slavs, so that the reader has information to help them understand who the Slavs are and so that they can understand their myths and culture. Again she gives information about the various Slavic tribes/clans and their myths and how it reflected their environment. Dalal also included her introduction as to why we have myths and how they reflect the cultures that created them.

I loved the way Dalal incorporated the myths with background on the Native Americans and the different tribes that shared the myths or had similar myths. She gave background information as to different Native American cultures and why their myths took on some of the shapes they did. I love how in her introduction Dalal talked about why we have myths and how they reflect the cultures that created them.
