Marlis Day

When a seventh grade student in a rural Indiana community dies tragically, two of his teachers discover that there are discrepancies in the story of what happen and decide to investigate. The plot is competent, but I found the narrator rather featureless and the narration rather bland. (I liked her sidekick, who is both more practical and zanier.)
