Unusually useful. Gave me all I needed to know to remove that nasty black gunk from my bathroom sink drain.

From relatively simple to moderately complex, lots of projects to impress yourself, friends and family.

The internet is a great place to look up how to fix something that's broken. What if something is broken and you don't know it though? Browsing through this book showed my how to inspect my own home and then fix a problem if I found one. Lot's of fun to flip through.

There are some projects here that might make a good contribution to a children's adventure garden or sensory garden, such as those described in Molly Dannenmaier's "A Child's Garden". I especially liked the Zen rock garden table, although in a children's garden I imagine the Zen landscape would continually be under construction with tiny dump trucks and diggers moving sand and rocks. Some of the water features would also be delightful to children.
