An imaginative story about gaining confidence in who you are and what you want.
Young Earl helps Papa at the farm stand every Saturday; theirs is the last one left. They harvest and sell pumpkins, peppers, plums, and eggs, and they even make special deliveries. When Papa can't work the farm stand and make deliveries anymore, little Earl takes over, using his bicycle to carry on the family tradition and serve the community (who, in turn, brings the family pumpkin pie, stuffed peppers, and plum jam in appreciation).
A beautiful story of farm, family, and community.
