I wanted to like this a lot more than I did but the lack of communication just did my head in. If they had of talked and shared what they found out most of their problems would've been solved a lot sooner. It got to be very melodramatic and I was ready to strangle Pen and Carter both. I did like Carter's meetings with Vassago and their Scrabble games - that bit was cool, but I just didn't enjoy this as much as I did Salt.

I loved all the characters. Penelope was awesome. She made me laugh out loud the whole way through. The pop culture references were a nice touch and I enjoyed Carter's nicknames for her. The plot is perhaps a bit weak overall, but the characters more than make up for it. I liked that they were all supportive of one another, it's nice to see family and friends who love one another no matter what the circumstances. And I didn't find myself hating even one character, although Thomas! How could you break Connie's heart?! Even the demons amused me. The romance was adorable and the world building was interesting. Super cute YA book. This is the tale of finding yourself after grief, letting other help you but not be your crutch. The characters were great and the book was awesome, there is solid writing behind this story and all it's characters, The chemistry that makes the characters click is evident, and it was just a flat out good story, I thoroughly enjoyed. This story is told in alternating views.

**I was given a copy of this book via Netgalley for an unbiased review**

I adored this book: it makes for a great summer read! I really enjoyed the balance between romance and self-growth. I'm usually not a fan of second chance romances but this one had me hooked once I was a few chapters in.

Watching Cassie and Graham learn their own faults and fears independently was great. I loved the coming of age aspect to this story and that the romance--while important--takes more of a backseat focus. And I really didn't mind because I loved watching them grow into the people they become.

I also adored the mental health aspect of the story. It was done in such a respectful and realistic way that tugged on my heart strings. I love that it brings attention to something that needs to be talked about in society.

I will definitely be reading more of Danielle Ellison's work in the future!
