Lucile Watkins Ellison

Though I'd read Butter on Both Sides and The Tie That Binds many times, I didn't know of this one's existence until entering the first two on LT. Greatly excited, I immediately ordered it from Amazon and read the whole thing the day it came. It's a lovely continuation of Lucy's story, though a little more rushed than the first two, especially at the beginning. Since the author died just after the first book was published, I think maybe she didn't get to edit this one as much as it needed. I enjoyed it anyway, especially Lucy's budding friendship with young George Ellison.… (more)
