2022 movie #8. 1999. We saw this in the theater when it opened and loved it. After seeing the documentary on it's making we had to see it again. The crew of a TV si-fi show get mistaken for real heroes by an alien race looking for help.

Actors from a cheesy sci-fi show are taken into space.

Clever. It's more faithful to the spirit of Star Trek than half the actual Star Trek movies, despite the fact that most of its jokes are at Star Trek's expense.

Deeply cliched, and travel seemed to occur at ridiculous speeds. The best part of this movie...the men got to wear cool pants that in this world you only see the likes of right next to the bondage pants. Yet Eragon was so wholesome!
