I thoroughly enjoyed this trilogy. Gar Hart is a journalist who becomes embroiled with some shady characters in the world of people with too much money. Hart is a determined, sometimes flawed sleuth, who pulls no punches in finding the truth behind the death of a billionaire’s son.
I was taken on a ride through Sydney’s seedy side, where Mr Hart thwarts many attempts to silence him. The author, Mark Furness takes you on a sometimes disturbing ride as Hart’s life becomes threatened by unsavory characters. When Hart’s family become targets as well, the heat really is turned up. This is a good read if you enjoy noir crime. Be prepared to be taken into the dark side of human greed.… (more)

Electricians by day, crime-fighting avengers by night. Lennie and Joe, along with their feathered-friend, Rawcus, help to bring justice to the victims of crimes that not even the authorities will touch. There is violence, there is blood, but it's the humour that helps this bumbling duo survive. Along with Rawcus, of course. I laughed all the way through, enjoyed every minute of the Australian quirkiness that Mark Furness does so well and I know you will enjoy Justice Machine, even just to find out how good Rawcus is at helping the two sparkies. Thanks, Mark you've managed to bring three lovable characters to life and I look forward to the next instalment.… (more)

Aussie super sleuths clean up again.

Lennie and Joe of Firefly Electrics along with their pet cockatoo, Rawcus, manage to clean up streets of pedo filth once more. These two unlikely sleuths are good old Aussie blokes who seem to find themselves catching criminals in their own way.
If you enjoy comedy thrown in with dark topics, then you’ll enjoy this story. It’s as good as Mark Furness’ other stories in this series. Although, what happens to Rawcus should never happen to a beloved pet. Recommended as a top read.… (more)
