SUMMARY/ EVALUATION:
Selection: My husband liked the title.
About: Self Help, with a young adult target audience (primarily).
Liked: There’s some good advice here.
Disliked: Profanity.
Overall: My husband lost interest after around the first chapter, but I’m a little compulsive about finishing what I start-so continued on. Parts were good, but I didn’t feel I was part of the demographic it was aimed at.

Reads like a one way conversation with the author in an off Main Street bar. He’s had a few, has some very strong opinions, and is a little riled up. The writing style was off putting and at times felt unprofessional. I found myself skimming paragraphs, and sometimes full sections. While there were some interesting insights, I just didn’t like it.

The use of untenable religious metaphors, casual language, and a sense of arrogance of personal opinion above evidence-based conclusions makes this read more like a conversation of the unmarried “cool“ uncle has in trying to relate to his millennial nephew, bragging about his accomplishments.
