Published in 1995, this book shows the slow evolution by New Mexicans to add new elements to their lifestyle which had been passed on to them from their elders. Black and white photos illustrate the mixing of Native American traditions with Anglo-American innovations which were usually viewed with initial suspicion. Over-sized book with many interviews with local people on their reasons for their life choices (e.g., pro/con for working at Los Alamos). Might be interesting for those looking for ethnic studies, Native Americans, or popular Catholicism.… (more)

Save your time and money. No real info here, just inaccurately described drawings and photos. Most of the meanings of the listed tattoos are incorrect. It does have a redeeming quality, some nice photos. The book impressed me as being "thrown together" in a hurry, not a serious work.

Good, dual use book. The first part is an early biography, and its quite funny as you see the egotism he has in regards to his sexual conquests, fights, and early bodybuilding career including attempted homosexual seduction.

The second part is a series of workouts, and I found these to be extremely effective even though they are fairly dated. I'm not any kind of professional lifter and I saw massive gains by using his exercise plan and sticking with it for 6 months.

This is the story of Arnold Schwarzenegger as he grew up in Austria and came to America. Early on he became fascinated with body building and arguably became one of the world's most successful. These events transpire long before his political star began to rise. Instead we see the strong, interesting, driven, and insightful person who was able to build his body and his personality in to a world-class commodity.
