A concise history of the pineapple industry in Hawaii. I read it to get a better understanding of how Sanford Dole and his cohorts "stole" land from the native Hawaiians and manipulated the laws to control people's lives. Definitely worth reading if not for the historical understanding but to better contemplate how the government destroys small businesses.
