Well written story by an author that is new to me. Fast paced with plenty of action and a story arc that sucked me right in. I wish that there was more of Fox and Axel as a couple, just my thought. I am loving Hidden Creek.

Axel and Fox--they met in Syria when Fox was a CIA agent who needed back up from the military. They only knew each other for less than 24 hours, and never connected. 8 years later, they both still thought about the other, and they were able to connect for real when they see each other again. Axel now works as an FBI SAC and Fox is still in the CIA. The cases they are working on happen to end up being the same, so they end up working together. Axel has always thought he was straight, but he definitely questions that once he sees Fox again. They end up having a great connection, and they work well together. Axel is very much the perfect match for Fox.

Max Hawthorn is a new to me author, and I don't see any other books by her, so I'm guessing she is a new author all together. I am so glad I found this series and tried her out. The characters were lovable, the story was intriguing, and the details were a perfect mix of detailed and understandable. I really, really enjoyed this, and will definitely look for new books by Max!

Wowzers. This was hot and steamy with some action, intrigue, and mystery. I was loving every minute of reading this and didn't want to put it down. Jayden and Lucas had intense chemistry right from the first pages even if they were strangers and never expected to see the other again. The scene was totally smoking, but I could see just from the short lived bliss that Jayden needed this.

Of course, the reintroduction of the two characters caused some big questions. They both remembered each other and the incredible experience they both had, but Lucas was brought in as a bodyguard for Jayden after a threat on his life. They had trouble ignoring their feelings for each other, and eventually decided they couldn't let something so great pass them up.

The mystery was well written, and I was surprised at who all played a part in the death threats/attempts. I liked that I never really suspected all of the people. It was fun watching Lucas, as a former SEAL, people watch and make determinations of things based on observation.

I loved this book, and was so excited to see a new one by Max Hawthorn. I loved their first book, and I was not disappointed with this one. Max is on my list for to-buy authors moving forward.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this book! Shield was a great book, and I loved meeting Peter there when he was working with Fox. Here, though, we get to see him in all his awesome glory. He has poor self esteem, but is super sweet and smart. Ethan is a British spy working a case in Texas. When he is in a car accident, he loses his memory and has no idea of anything he was working on. Peter ends up finding him in a ditch and helps him while he figures things out.

I loved Ethan as a character. He was such a great guy, and he was clearly enamored with Peter. I loved seeing him building up Peter's confidence just by saying little things about how awesome and gorgeous he was. There was a ton of amazing action in the book, and I loved every minute of it.

Max Hawthorn has become an auto buy author for me now. Knocked it out of the park!

This was soooooo good. I loved finally getting to see Benedict and who he really was. We met him in the other books, but it was so cool when we really got to know all the details behind everything. Felix was awesome. Such a super geek, but he was adorable and strong and build up so much confidence in the time he was working with Benedict. I loved this so much. Action, intrigue, secrets, truth, and hotness galore. Total win for me.

OMG, the heat on this one is off the scale. I mean, my fingers are still on fire from it. I just loved it.

Jayden is out and proud. What he's not so happy about is the fact that his dad outed him to his board, and when his dad died, the board of their company ousted Jayden before he even knew what was going on. Then they started raising the price on lifesaving medication. Now Jayden is fighting tooth, nail, and claw to get control of his dad's company back. Then he gets a death threat.

Lucas was a Navy SEAL. When his brother-in-law died, he left so he could help out his sister and her daughter. Her daughter has type 1 diabetes and her meds and supplies have all of a sudden started going up. When he gets assigned as a bodyguard to Jayden he realizes 2 things. One, Jayden's name is the same as the company that makes his niece's medication, and second, he and Jayden had a one night stand months ago across the country. And it's one that neither one of them forgot.

I will definitely be reading more by this author.

Wow

Max Hawthorn has what is arguably the best author bio I've ever read. Her books are pretty d**n awesome too. Hot, sexy, intense, and that's just the relationship. The storyline is just as intense. So excellent.
